How to choose mounting type?

Wall mounting kit

Mounting your LED neon sign on the wall with standoffs is a total breeze – honestly, it’s no harder than hanging a regular picture. Just follow these simple steps to get your space glowing:

Step 1: You’ll need a pencil or marker, and maybe a tape measure and a level to keep things straight. Pick the perfect spot for your LED neon sign and think about the logistics: where the connection cable will run and where the power adapter and dimmer will sit. You might need an extension cord or a dedicated power line for the setup. Hold the sign up to the wall, level it out, and use the pre-drilled holes in the acrylic backboard as a template to mark exactly where the standoffs go.
Pro-tip: Wear soft cloth gloves while handling the sign to keep the transparent acrylic backboard free from scratches and oily fingerprints.

Step 2: Drilling and Anchors
Grab a drill or impact driver with a 1/4″ (6mm) bit suited for your wall type. The wall anchors come right in the box with your LED neon sign. Drill your holes about 1 inch deep, making sure you’re drilling straight into the wall. Pop the plastic anchors into the holes – you might need a hammer to tap them flush.

Step 3: Mounting the standoff bases
Your LED neon sign comes with professional mounting standoffs. Unscrew them carefully so you don’t lose the tiny silicone gaskets. Screw the bases of the standoffs into the anchors using the screws provided in the kit. Heads up: the hole in the standoff is pretty tight, so an extra-long screwdriver bit or a manual screwdriver will be your best friend here.

Step 4: Hanging the sign
Slide the acrylic backboard of your LED neon sign onto the standoff bases. Make sure the silicone gaskets sit on both sides of the acrylic to keep everything snug and safe. Screw on the decorative standoff caps and tighten them by hand.

Pro-tip: Put a tiny bit of anti-rust grease on the standoff threads. Even a little rust can make them a nightmare to unscrew later if you ever need to move your neon light signs.

Once everything is secure, plug it in and dial in the brightness using the dimmer until the vibe is exactly right.
Note: The cables included with your LED neon sign are not rated for in-wall installation (behind drywall or plaster).

How to connect neon sign?

1 Electric safety

  1. Your new LED neon sign plugs right into a standard 110-volt house outlet. Because of that, you’ve gotta stick to the usual safety rules for handling any home appliance. Here are some pro-tips to follow so you can keep your LED neon sign glowing safely and looking good for a long time.
  2. The LED neon sign you picked up from our shop is a total breeze to set up—no need to call in a pro electrician. You can totally handle this yourself! Just make sure to check out the diagrams below before you get started. Stay sharp: those wiring setups can change up a bit depending on which LED neon sign version you went with.
  3. The LED inside our neon signs run on a super-safe 12-volt setup. But remember, the power adapter that juices up the sign plugs straight into your 110-volt home wall outlet, so you still gotta be careful.
  4. When you’re hooking up your LED neon sign, only use the power adapter and dimmers that came right in the box with the LED neon sign. Using stuff from other suppliers can fry your LED neon sign and, worse, could even start a fire.
  5. While you’re hanging and mounting your LED neon sign, keep an eye on where connection сables  are going. Don’t pull the cable too tight or it might snap. Also, make sure the cables aren’t sitting somewhere where people might trip over them or where you’d drop heavy furniture right on top of them.
  6. While your LED neon sign is doing its thing, it might get a tiny bit warm. Whatever you do, don’t cover up the LED neon sign—that heat needs to breathe and drift off into the air around it.
  7. Our indoor-style LED neon signs are meant to stay inside, but you can definitely take them out for a quick outdoor party. Just make sure it’s a short-term thing in totally dry weather so not a single drop of moisture touches the LED neon sign.
  8. Watch out for your pets—make sure your furry friends can’t get their teeth on the LED neon sign’s power cables, because they could really do some serious damage.
  9. This LED neon sign is a piece of decor, not a toy. Don’t let the kids play around with the LED neon sign or try to plug it into the wall outlet on their own.
  10. Don’t try to fix the LED neon sign yourself or mess with how it’s built. If you spot any issues with the LED neon sign, just hit up our managers at (link) and we’ll get everything squared away for you.
  11. Stick to these easy rules and your LED neon sign will be rocking your space for a long time, bringing that one-of-a-kind colorful vibe to your place.
